Our Mission: Compassionate Creative Recovery
Find Out moreWhat We do
We support the recovery of local veterans, emergency “Blue light” personnel and NHS staff who are suffering acute mental health conditions.
How we do it
We help participants through a structured programme of creative woodland skills and therapeutic activities led by experienced instructors and practitioners.
Our Activities
All our activities are designed to support both the recovery of our participants and the overall health of this precious ancient woodland.
Taking Part
“If you are a veteran or emergency service worker you need to be referred by NHS Veterans Wales or your Wellbeing Team. However, anyone can become a volunteer at the centre
The Pen-y-Graig Poem – Little Me –
Undamaged, full of hope
He wants to fly the ocean breeze
Run wild with Antelope
To soar along the craggy cliffs
Dive into oceans blue
Play with friends a million times
Then dance just like a Sioux
Then travel to the moon
Sit in the forest with his knife
To carve a wooden spoon
With eyes that sparkle all day long
His wish from up above
To feel that he’s a real boy
That’s wrapped up full of love
