Phil Richards
Forest BathingI am Phil Richards from Port Talbot in South Wales. I am a forest bathing guide, as well as a serving merchant marine engineer. Prior to going to sea, I worked as a steel worker.
Throughout my life I have again and again found immense benefit from the power of connection with nature which resulted in an epiphany trekking through Nepal, and I resolved there and then to help share this profound feeling of well being that is accessible to all. I trained as a forest bathing guide to learn about exactly what it is that provides these tangible benefits, and now I hope to deepen my own practice as well to facilitate others to start their own.

Georgina Hughes – Ceramics & Photography
Centre for Creative ActivitiesMy lifelong fascination for the natural world has found its expression in my art, creating forms and images which communicate my appreciation of its beauty and the layers of potential experience, inviting the viewer to share my encounter.
During my time working in an Art College, I found connection with the students I supported and taught through the media of clay and photography as they investigated their creative responses to their environment and their inner dialogue. I delivered workshops for community groups, funded by the NHS and other awards, enabling wellbeing through use of the expressive arts.
