James Cooke

James is a highly accomplished Operations Manager having spent a successful career spanning 33 years with Scotland Yard. Towards the end of his career he led various projects and operations to counter the growing threat posed by gang and gun crime. In 2005 he led for Sir Ian Blair in the complete review and reform of all public protection systems and management methods for dangerous offenders across London

Since retiring he retrained as a teacher, personal performance coach and VIP Close Protection Officer

In 2012 he published his first book “Operations Management – The Art & Science of Making Things Happen” which recounts all the management learning from his career and how to develop yourself into an effective leader and manager

In 2014 he purchased Pen-y-Graig Woodland near Monmouth so he could move his training base from London to The Lower Wye Valley where he grew up and schooled. Over the last 5 years he has developed the site into a major feasibility project for woodland regeneration combined with mental health provision for emergency service personnel and veterans
