Pen-y-Graig’s Therapy Dog – “Peanut”

Since 2018 Pen-y-Graig has had its very own therapy dog called “Peanut”

She is a four year old working Cocker Spaniel whose happy exuberant energy brings a smile to everyone’s face

The role of dogs in helping reduce stress and anxiety has been long recognised and in 2019 Sussex Police Sergeant Gary Botterill spoke about his new charity “Service Dogs UK” to the BBC, promoting the use of trained dogs to support military veterans and emergency service personnel cope with PTSD
